This vase is a Famille Rose Square Vase with Gilt Elephant Handles.

Name & Form: Its shape is a quadrilateral or square-sectioned vase. The handles are modeled as elephant heads, which in Chinese culture are sacred animals symbolizing peace (Taiping) and strength.

Symbolism in Panels:

Birds and Flowers: The central medallions feature songbirds on flowering branches, a classic "Bird and Flower" (Huaniao) motif representing nature's harmony.

Peaches of Immortality: One panel shows large pink peaches, which are primary symbols of Longevity.

Ruyi Borders: The edges of the medallions are decorated with Ruyi (heart-shaped) patterns, meaning "as you wish" or good fortune.

Decoration: The surrounding "ground" is filled with a dense floral scroll (Millefleur-style elements) against a soft green or turquoise backdrop.

This is a Famille Rose "Shou" Character Baluster Vase with Chilong Handles.

Name & Form: This is a baluster-form vase, characterized by a slender neck and a broad, rounded body.

The "Shou" Character: The large red symbol on the neck is the character 壽 (Shou), representing Longevity. It is rendered in a stylized seal script.

Handles: Unlike the square vase, these handles represent Chilong (young, hornless dragons), symbols of protection and vitality.

Lappet Patterns: The pink and yellow scalloped borders at the shoulder and foot are called Lappets, a traditional design used to frame the main central scene.
