A charming and auspicious Chinese porcelain pillow (陶瓷枕) modeled in the form of a young boy reclining on his side. This piece is decorated in a vibrant palette featuring Famille Rose (Fencai) and Wucai-style enamels. In Chinese culture, the imagery of a healthy, chubby boy is a powerful symbol of fertility, many descendants, and domestic harmony.

Form & Figure: The pillow is sculpted as a boy resting on his stomach and elbows, his back forming the gentle concave surface designed to support the neck. His expression is serene with finely painted facial features, including "peach-bloom" cheeks and traditional tufts of hair.

Decorative Motifs: * The Vest (Dudou): The boy wears a traditional red-ground vest intricately decorated with a "thousand flowers" (Wan Hua) or millefleur-style pattern, symbolizing abundance.

The Base: The figure rests on a rectangular plinth decorated with traditional blue and iron-red scrolling clouds or ruyi patterns.

Colors: Features a rich mix of iron-red, leaf-green, and sunny-yellow enamels against a milky-white glaze.

Diameter : 29 x 12 x 12 cm
